Bahías de Huatulco International Airport (code HUX, operated by ASUR) is west of the destination, next to Federal Coastal Highway 200. La Crucecita and the Tangolunda hotel zone are about 21 kilometers away (around 22 minutes by car). From there, the same Highway 200 connects west to Pochutla, Puerto Ángel, and beyond, Puerto Escondido; and east to the turnoff toward the Copalita Waterfalls. Leaving with your own car saves you the taxi line and leaves you ready to move from day one.

Save your hotel's exact address and the bay it sits in (Santa Cruz, Chahué, Tangolunda, or Conejos) before leaving the airport: in Huatulco each bay is a different sector, and knowing yours saves you loops when arriving at night.
